This is going to start on October of 2003. That was the most important time of my life. The time I met the most amazing man of all times. Well to me he is. That is the day I starting working for security. And the man was my supervisor. That is when I met my future husband.
Today is the day that I am honored to tell everyone about. You see two years ago, Lonnie had a massive heart attack. God seen to it that he lived but I didn’t know at the time that Lonnie was going to make it. We arrrived at St. Rita’s Medical Center around 11:00am on the morning of Dec14.2007. Lonnie’s heart went into V-Tech and they had to use the paddles to get his heart back in rhythm . They then rushed him to the cath lab and put 4 stents in his arteries. He ended up going to OSU Hospital to have an ICD implanted to make his heart work right. And I also would like to say thank you again to Dr. Sheehan. He is also an amazing man and I owe him alot. He saved Lonnie’s life but won’t take the credit. He said God put him there to save Lonnie’s life with his hands. He said it was God that saved Lonnie’s life.
God was watching over him that day because he spared his life and gave me the most wonderful man in the world. So now we have married and he is my soul mate. This is his two year anniversary at his new life. And I’m so honored to be his wife.
And I would like to take the time to say a small prayer to God for giving Lonnie to me for the two years and hope it turns into many many more. I could not image my life without him in it. Thank you God for giving me the chance to meet the soul mate of my life. I wouldn’t change a thing.
Anyone reading this blog should go check out Lonnie’s Second Chance at Life on his blog. http://secondchanceatlife.wordpress.com. He has a way with words that I can’t even do. So I hope everyone that is reading this tells Lonnie Happy Two Year Anniversary.
Thank You God again. I will thank you everyday of my life for bringing me into Lonnie’s life. And thank you for sparing his life.
Happy Two Year Anniversary Lonnie!!!!! I love you with all my heart.

This story is going to be dedicated to First Care Medical. It all started on Dec.14,2007, the day my husband had his heart attack. He wasn’t my husband at the time of the heart attack. We didn’t have a family doctor but Lonnie had a stress test on the 13th of December and the next day I had to take him to the hospital. We didn’t know at the time that his heart was in V-tech. They had to use the paddles on him to save his life. Thank God we got to the hospital in time. I don’t want to discredit Dr. Shaheen because he’s the man that saved my husband’s life. And he is also a very caring and compassionate man.
We didn’t have a family doctor at the time. Lonnie always wanted to get a family doctor that would remember who you are. And that’s what we found when Dr. Ojo became his doctor. This man is wonderful. He remembers who you are without a chart in front of him. You don’t find these kind of doctors anymore, he’s an exceptional doctor. And the girls that work in his office are as amazing as well. They go to all kinds of lengths to help you out anyway they can.
I’m now out of a job and on unemployment and that sure doesn’t go far. Of course we have no insurance now. Lonnie’s pills are quite expensive. Lets say they’re over $500.00 a month. So I did research on the Internet to the drug companies for some of his drugs. We had to have the paperwork filled out by the doctor. And now we are getting two of his expensive drugs that he needs for his heart and they are delivered to the doctor’s office. I just found another drug company for two of his other medicines and called the doctor’s office and asked to have two prescriptions wrote so I could send them in too. The girls were very helpful. I called them yesterday and they had them ready for me today. So anybody out there that needs their medication and can’t afford them check this out on the web.
Dr. Ojo is a warm and compassionate doctor. Lonnie asked him the one time we were at the office, if he it gets to see his family. because it doesn’t matter when Lonnie is in the hospital, he’ll see Dr. Ojo early in the morning and then late at night. He said he does get to spend time with his family. But I want to give a big Thank You to Dr.Ojo and his office staff. The are the very best. I don’t know how we could ever pay them back because they really do care. I hope everybody gets a doctor as good as Dr. Ojo.God Bless everyone.

I grew this flower, but really don’t know what kind it is. A lady that I worked with gave it to me and told me it’s a paper flower. My husband looked on the Internet and we can’t find it. If anybody knows what kind it is, I’ll truly appreciate to find out what kind of flower it is. Thanks so much.

I wanted to find this song so Lonnie and I could sing it to Daisy. This song was wrote in 1892 by Harry Dacre. This duck is very special to my husband so now we get to learn this song and sing it for Daisy everyday. Lonnie can sing but I sure can’t but it doesn’t matter because all our animals love us and don’t even know that I can’t carry a tune in a bucket. Just wanted to let everyone have a laugh. God Bless each and everyone of you. Here’s the words to the song.
There is a flower
Within my heart,
Daisy, Daisy!
Planted one day
By a glancing dart,
Planted by Daisy Bell!
Whether she loves me
Or loves me not,
Sometimes it’s hard to tell;
Yet I am longing to share the lot -
Of beautiful Daisy Bell!
Daisy, Daisy,
Give me your answer do!
I’m half crazy,
All for the love of you!
It won’t be a stylish marriage,
I can’t afford a carriage
But you’ll look sweet upon the seat
Of a bicycle made for two.
We will go ‘tandem’
As man and wife,
Daisy, Daisy!
‘Peddling’ away
Down the road of life,
I and my Daisy Bell!
When the road’s dark
We can both despise
P’licemen and ‘lamps’ as well;
There are ‘bright lights’
In the dazzling eyes
Of beautiful Daisy Bell!
Daisy, Daisy,
Give me your answer do!
I’m half crazy,
All for the love of you!
It won’t be a stylish marriage,
I can’t afford a carriage
But you’ll look sweet upon the seat
Of a bicycle made for two.
I will stand by you
In ‘wheel’ or woe,
Daisy, Daisy!
You’ll be the bell(e)
Which I’ll ring you know!
Sweet little Daisy Bell!
You’ll take the ‘lead’
In each ‘trip’ we take,
Then if I don’t do well,
I will permit you to
Use the brake,
My beautiful Daisy Bell!
Sometimes you have to think how nice some people really are. This is dedicated to a very special girl. We live next door to a young woman, in her twenties, that has 4 pit bulls and they are really trained very well. They are not vicious at all. They are very well mannered dogs. She and I were talking the other day and she thought my husband and I were laid off from work. I informed her that we were off for disabilities. I have a bad back and of course everyone knows my husband has a bad heart. I go back to work this coming week. So today, the day before Mother’s Day, my mother and I were sitting in the kitchen having coffee and the doorbell rang. And there was my neighbor girl and she asked me if she could mow our grass because she was doing hers. I thought that was very sweet of her. She had it mowed in less than 20 minutes. So you know, not all kids that age are that considerate and meaningful as she is. I appreciated it very much because Lonnie was going to mow it tomorrow. And it had got quite tall from all the rain we have had in the last week. I just wanted to mention this because there are well meaning people out there and you never know when one is going to touch your heart like she has. She is a very good neighbor, and very hard working. I want her to know how much this meant to me. That she would take the time to do something that sweet. I just wanted to give her a big THANK YOU!!!! If all people could do something nice for someone and not want nothing in return, think what a beautiful world this would be. God must have sent her to us just when we needed something. God Bless everyone and all you mothers out there have a very Happy Mother’s Day tomorrow.
Well hello everyone!! I know it’s been awhile since I have wrote anything on this blog. Tonight I need a favor from all of you. I need everyone to pray for my husband. He’s a very good man. He has health issues and had to step down from his supervisory position. He was an excellent supervisor. He took time to make sure everyone knew what they had to do on his shift. He has always stuck up for his people on third shift. Even if they were in the wrong. It was a very difficult decision he had to make. But he did it because he couldn’t perform his job and thought it wasn’t fair to his company. Now he doesn’t feel appreciated. He was in the hospital not to long ago from having to do a job he requested not to do because of his health. This landed him in the hospital. He is back to work. I need everyone to pray for my husband. We need to take the hate out of his heart and get him over this depression. I just don’t like seeing him all depressed. It took me over 45 years to find my soul mate. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. And he deserves so much more than me but he says I’m his soul mate and that we are supposed to be together. Why would God give him a second chance at life? We have only been married for a little over 9 months. So could everyone just say a small prayer for my husband, Lonnie? He loves life to the fullest and enjoys our little zoo that we have. We have 2 dogs and 4 cats right now. He does his own blogging and has such of a good imagination. I just want him well and healthy. So pray for him!!!!! I love him with all my heart and more. Thank You!
I know it’s been awhile since I have written anything on this, but thought I should update everyone. I had my surgeries on both of my hands and am doing better. My left hand is better than the right one. The day after my second surgery, I got married to the most sensitive, kindest and gentlest man that I have ever met. We now have an extended family. Lonnie had never been married before and no children. So he’s got a huge family now. He got 3 children and 10 grandchildren, when we got married. Our dog and 2 cats are with us also. It has just been wonderful being married to him. But I had to change shifts because he was my supervisor. I now work first and he is on thirds. We only see each other for a few minutes in the mornings. But we enjoy each other when we do spend time in the afternoons. We don’t get a lot of sleep but I guess that how it’s got to be. We do have Sunday night, Monday and almost all of Tuesday, to spend time together.
On Monday nights, my mom and my youngest son come to dinner. My mom is 72 years old and just had a stroke in January. She is doing very well and this way we get to spend time with her too. And our dog enjoys the company very much. Maggie Mae is a little hyper but does calm down after awhile.
This story is probably not making any sense but just the ramblings of a old woman. I just wanted to put an update on it and to let the world know how happy I am and how much I love my new husband. So till next time……
God bless everyone..
It’s been a few days since I had a post. I’ll let you know about my carpal tunnel surgery. I had my left hand done on June 2,2008 and it is very painful. The numbing shot is the worst of the surgery. It only took fifteen minutes from beginning to end. I had the stitches in for two weeks. Then on June 16,2008 I had the surgery on my right hand. Both of my hands hurt me right now but Dr. Patel said it should be completely healed in 3 to 6 months. The pain and numbness in my hands and arms are gone so I thank God for that. On July 2,2008, my husband went with me to get my stitches out. We had to wait about 25 minutes past my appointment time. Dr. Patel apologized for the wait. He then got called away to the surgery side. We were leaving thru the waiting room, and a lady approached us and said she didn’t want to intrude, but wanted to say it was so nice to see a couple supporting each other as much as you two are.
That was just so sweet and dear. I just couldn’t believe it. It was simply amazing. Lonnie said he didn’t want to tell her we had just been married for 2 weeks. We are just so in love with each other. And imagine that at our age. I never thought I would ever find my soul mate but I finally did. I would like to thank that special woman. It was a very special day and something I won’t ever forget. Thank you again.
Well we are home after my husband’s surgery. Thank you for all that prayed for him.
The surgery was to be at 2:30pm but they were running late. They didn’t come and get him until 3:45pm. Then at 4:15pm they took him for surgery. Dr. Olt came out at 5:20pm and said he was in recovery. She stated that they were going to keep him overnight. They had a big blood vessel that ruptured. She said that she had glued it and put a drain tube in. He finally got to his room at 6:30pm. He was in a lot of pain. Friday I brought him home. We got home about 2:15pm. Our dog, Maggie Mae, was very excited to see him. She wanted to jump all over him. He is still in pain, but hopefully that will be over in a few days. We have 2 more days together before I have to go back to work. I’m praying that having this surgery will take away some of his stomach pain. He deserves not to be in pain all the time. I wish I could take his pain away, but I know that’s not possible. I just love him so very much. So just keep him in your prayers. And thank you again for your prayers.
